    Head of the Surgery Department

The Surgery Department is a structural unit of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital № 4 and is designed to provide qualified medical care through active identification, treatment and rehabilitation of surgical patients. In the Department, a team of experienced surgeons performs a full range of surgical operations of varying degrees of complexity, both planned and urgent. Urgent and deferred surgical care is also provided here to military personnel. Preference is given to laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical treatment methods.

Department schedule

● Monday, Wednesday, Saturday – general surgery duty
● Tuesday, Friday – gastrointestinal bleeding duty
● We provide emergency medical care to patients who apply on their own around the clock.

● 24-hour emergency and planned care using the latest technologies
● Comprehensive approach to the treatment and examination of patients with surgical pathology with the involvement of narrowly specialized specialists: vascular surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, otolaryngologists, proctologists, oncologists
● Higher-level specialists, including candidates and doctors of medical sciences, are involved in the treatment and diagnostic process
● Surgical treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal system

Abdominal surgery

The Department specializes in surgical treatment of abdominal organs, including diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. Both traditional and minimally invasive techniques are used.

Laparoscopic surgery

Minimally invasive surgical interventions on the abdominal organs, which are performed through small punctures. The method allows to shorten the rehabilitation period, minimize pain syndrome and cosmetic defects after surgery.

Emergency surgery

We provide emergency surgical care to patients with acute conditions such as ulcer perforation, intestinal obstruction, appendicitis, and internal organ injuries. We use modern equipment for diagnostics and rapid decision-making.

Neurosurgery

The Department makes the diagnostics and surgical treatment of pathologies of the nervous system, including injuries and tumors of the brain and spinal cord, herniated intervertebral discs. We perform operations using microsurgical and minimally invasive methods.

Vascular surgery and diabetic foot

The Department specializes in the treatment of vascular pathologies, including varicose veins, thrombosis, aneurysms, and occlusive arterial diseases. A separate area of ​​work is the comprehensive treatment of patients with diabetic foot syndrome to prevent complications and amputations.

Medical Services & Specialties

Proctological surgery

We make diagnostics and surgical treatment of pathologies of the rectum and anal canal, including hemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas, epithelial coccygeal canal, papillomas and condylomas. We use modern minimally invasive techniques that ensure rapid recovery.

Soft tissue surgery

We perform surgeries on the skin and subcutaneous tissue, including removal of lipomas, fibromas, atheromas, hygromas, treatment of ingrown nails and injuries to the nail plate. We also perform surgical treatment of infectious complications (abscess, furuncle, carbuncle).

Clinical base of the Department of Surgery № 2 of the Bogomolets National Medical University

Our department is a clinical base for training future surgeons studying at the Department of Surgery № 2 of the BogomoletsNational Medical University. We collaborate with leading scientists and doctors, and introduce modern methods of diagnosis and treatment.

KCCH №4 is one of the clinical bases of the Department of Surgery No. 2 of the Bogomolets National Medical University.
