The Pathohistological Laboratory has been a functional integral unit of the Pathological Anatomical Department since 2017. The main goal and direction of work is a high level of quality of morphological studies, their informativeness, reliability and objectivity, a guarantee of the quality of morphological studies by improving the laboratory's activities, providing doctors of clinical departments with the necessary information regarding morphological examinations. The laboratory provides services to patients of inpatient departments of the hospital, outpatients of outpatient departments of Solomianskyi and other districts of the city, the adult population of Kyiv and patients from other cities. The histopathological laboratory conducts histopathological and autopsy studies of I-V categories of complexity.

The histopathological laboratory is equipped with new high-tech equipment: high-quality thermostats, a modern computer with a program and connection to the central server of the hospital, a microscope.
Priorities are set for high quality and improvement of morphological diagnostics of biopsy and postoperative material, which already meets the modern requirements of diagnostic quality standards. A new, more economical and high-quality isopropyl histological wiring of the material has been introduced. It is planned to introduce progressive technologies, develop new effective methods of morphological diagnostics of infectious and parasitic diseases, new histochemical staining methods.
